THE MINI SESSION PROCESS & EXPERIENCE
Reserve your spot
Pick your preferred time and location, there's a $50 deposit to reserve your spot, the rest is due one month after your session.

It never hurts to show up a few minutes early, and ensures that we can take advantage of your entire time slot!

Gallery delivery!
You'll receive a handful of preview photos within 48 hours, and the rest within 6 weeks! I use PicTime, an online gallery delivery service where you'll be able to view, download, and share the link to your photos.

Be the first to know and get an email with 2026 openings for your preferred location as soon as spots go live. If you're on a notification list, there's zero obligation to book a time. Because spring weather and tree blossoms can be unpredictable year to year, dates for certain locations will be announced just a few weeks in advance, instead of months ahead.
IN-HOME OR INDOOR MINIS
Locations are flexible- throughout the Des Moines metro area and Ames. Location options include, but aren't limited to, in-home, the Iowa Capitol building, Inside and Iowa State building, or the Ola Babcock Miller building in Des Moines.
Weekdays and Saturdays in January, February, and March 2026
FRESH SNOW MINIS
Locations are flexible - throughout the Des Moines metro area and Ames
Saturday mornings, mid-day, and afternoons in January, February, and maybe March of 2026

I approach fresh snow mini session scheduling a little differently than other times of the year. If it looks like we're in for a pretty snowfall on a Friday or Saturday, I'll send out a message with my Saturday availability for mini sessions. These sessions are scheduled and booked more last-minute than usual in order to take advantage of the fresh, pretty snow.
If you're on my fresh snow notification list, you'll be notified when there are openings available. There's no obligation to book a time at any point, it's just an option in case your schedule and the weather lines up perfectly!
